1. What these technologies are
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We also use local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way but keep data in the browser rather than sending it with every request. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
2. What we use and why
Strictly necessary — these cannot be switched off because the service will not work without them:
- Session and authentication storage that keeps you signed in and protects the session between page loads.
- Security storage used for request protection, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
- Preference storage for your language choice, performance-mode settings, deck and player state, and the Track Store cart, so your work survives a refresh.
- Payment provider cookies set during checkout, which the provider uses for fraud prevention and to complete the payment.
3. Optional cookies
Analytics and product-improvement cookies are optional. They help us see, in aggregate, which features are used and where the interface fails. We only set them if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.
4. Third-party cookies
Some pages embed content or services from other companies — payment checkout, identity verification and audio previews from music-data providers. Those companies may set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control. Their cookie and privacy notices apply to that processing.
5. How to control cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and clear local storage, usually under privacy or site settings. You can also use private browsing.
Blocking strictly necessary storage will sign you out, reset your language and performance settings and empty your cart, and parts of the app will stop working. Blocking optional cookies has no effect on how the app functions.
